The Cranky Product Manager wants to know…. who the heck _ARE_ you,
anyway? Are you part of her Product Management posse? Or part of the
warring marketing or software engineering tribes? Do tell….
Or maybe you're just curious who else is reading?
Please take the "What's Your Gig" quiz on the Cranky Product Manager's Facebook page. It'll show the results after you answer two simple questions….
Muchas Gracias,

Sorry, but I’m not willing to become a Facebook subscriber just to take the quiz. How about putting it on a site that allows anonymous surveys?
Such a disrespect for the readers… we refuse to be part of the statistics!
I have been a reader of this blog for 2 years now, and really really enjoying it.
Going to FaceBook, and its redicilious applications is a serious down-grade to this excellent blog.
Please re-consider all this FaceBook initative of yours. I am sure there are better platforms to utilize for the purpose of surevy or other needs.
Keep on writing.

Ran
Hey guys, sorry that you don’t like Facebook. The Cranky Product Manager sincerely hopes that you are not truly taking it as a sign of disrespect for readers because it is not intended that way at all! The Cranky Product Manager is using it because she thinks it’s fun (nice to see names and photos of readers!) plus it saves her time – a big thing because in real life she has to take care of her real job, a baby, PLUS this blog.
Believe the CPM, there is no need or requirement that you use Facebook. If you don’t want to use it, don’t. The CPM’s content is not “moving over” to Facebook. Your regularly scheduled blog posts will all be right here. After the Facebook poll runs for a week, the CPM will share the results on this blog. The only thing you will miss out on is the ability to actually participate in polls.
Thanks for reading,

Product Management. My wife — also a Product Manager — showed me this only a few days ago. Have been laughing since.
I had to answer “none of the above,” not because I refuse to fit into a box. Box me all you want. I am a former (and short-lived) PM, now just as cranky as your counterpart in customer service.
Same here. Facebook’s privacy policies are downright scary.
If you do the poll somewhere else, I’d be happy to participate.
A Marcoms’ guy who now has Product Management responsibility. No more Chardonnay sipping, agency tripping for me – it’s all spreadsheets and cigarettes.
I’m running through the blog roll and your site for help and ideas – loved the proliferation post. They need to take a page from consumer devices, just throw in everything, it’s ultimately simpler and less expensive.
PM in the Land of the Future, mother of a 3 year old, wife of an engineer. We should talk, CPM.
