If you follow the Cranky Product Manager on Twitter, you probably know that she adores onthefringe, a “VC-backed, start-up CEO, sharing day-to-day insights in the day-to-day life of a start-up.” He(?)/she(?) often shares “advice” for product managers.
Funny stuff.
And NOT the Cranky Product Manager is included in this camp (given that she’s married and all that), but she knows several people who would TOTALLY Twitter-make-out with onthefringe if given the opportunity. That’s how funny he/she is.
Check it out.

Thanks for the nice words here. I (a guy, by the way) have a great deal of respect for Product Managers–not only do I think that everybody should own one–but you all have a tough and crucial job, especially now. And with that said, I leave you with a customized onthefringe tip for your blog:
CEO Product Management tip: Now please put the Pony back into the road-map, or bad things will happen.
Ooh, can it be pink? I love pink ponies! But I also want the pony to be customizable so that I can create all sorts of different colors, skins, like, whatever. And you promised this for the next release, right?
Both you, most revered CPM, and you, razor-sharp onthefringe, make my day on a regular basis. And make me think.
onthefringe, your recent tweet, “CEO tip: Interesting, it looks like the product is managing you.”, momentarily paralyzed me with its painful familiarity. I RT’d. Then I pledged not to be that PM. Again.
@trevorrotzien
Onthefringe, CPM is right, your tweets are awesome. You can’t make that stuff up, it is just too true.
Thanks for turning me on to Onthefringe, CPM… I blew milk bubbles out my nose when I read “Apparently Engineering thinks that it’s okay to drink and code. QA sure will be busy on Monday.”
