I re-read this and I was being an ass, in my earlier reply, sorry. I have those moments, more often than I’d like. Once I though it was because of being an engineering type but lately I think its just personality deformities, unrelated to those incurred as part of being an engineering type.

Anyway, it would have been awesome to see you present, hopefully another time or digitally, and I do honestly hope you get better soon.

That really does suck, CPM. I hope you and your cranky kid get feeling better quickly. I think having the cranky kid sick at the same time goes beyond cosmic karma into cosmic bad jokes.

I hope you get better soon, and I can relate to the baby being sick; that is even worse, as we know we have to continue to take care of the babies no matter what we feel like. I have two and they are more important than anything in the world – anything. This just means that you have your priorities in order for the long haul. Take care of the little one and yourself, and darling husband. I really hope you feel better soon, and never mind the “wimping out,” comment. For anyone that is a Mom, at least, and has had sick little ones, there is nothing worse than seeing your little ones suffer, while being helpless to do more than offer the constant Tylenol, Ibuprofen and hugs and kisses. Do what you have to do; you are doing the right thing – the most important thing, and I salute you.

Pesky porcine flu pestilence bug thing!

if it’s any consolation, I had the worst (and I mean WORST) flu-ey bug thing last winter. Laid me low for all of December and a chunk of January.

Never mind the swine flu bug, avoid the Creaky BA’s version instead – truly awful; I missed my birthday, Christmas AND New Year, bah ang humbug on a grand scale!

Crikey! I hope you feel better soon. I had hamthrax a month or so ago, and I have never been so thoroughly knocked flat by an illness. The worst parts stopped after a couple of days, but for a week more I was still needing a couple of naps a day. I can’t imagine dealing with disease plus a sick kid; you’re a champ.

Like Chris, I’d love to make sure the talk gets out; if you’re in the SF area on some future date, I’m sure I can borrow some gear from a videographer pal.
